2.2 Information collected during live sessions

Live sessions are held on Microsoft Teams/Zoom/or equivalent and are recorded. If you turn on your camera or microphone, or type in the chat, your name, image, voice and chat messages may appear in the recording. You can take part with your camera off and use a display name of your choice. We tell you when recording starts.

2.3 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring page and time spent, collected through server logs and our hosting provider.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 8.

2.4 Information from third parties

We may receive payment confirmation from Razorpay, and, if your employer enrols you in a team training, your name, work email and role from your employer.

3. How we use your personal data

We use your personal data only for clear, specific purposes:

  • Deliver the Services: confirm your seat, create your learning-platform account, send session links, materials and recordings, and review your capstone project.
  • Process payments: take payment, issue invoices and receipts, prevent fraud and handle payment disputes.
  • Personalise your learning: use your role, experience and goals to tailor examples, group discussions and mentor feedback.
  • Run the learning platform: track your progress, score quizzes and show the cohort leaderboard.
  • Community: add you to the cohort WhatsApp group and help you connect with other learners.
  • Communicate with you: send schedule updates, reminders, support replies and important changes to our terms.
  • Marketing (with consent): send our newsletter, AI insights and news about future cohorts and courses. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Testimonials (with permission): feature your review, LinkedIn post or project on our website or social media only after you've given us permission.
  • Improve our Services: analyse feedback and usage to improve the curriculum and website.
  • Legal and safety: meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the safety of our learners.

4. Legal basis for processing

India (DPDP Act): we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you register, pay or subscribe, and for certain legitimate uses permitted by law, such as meeting legal obligations and processing data you voluntarily provide for a specified purpose. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 10). Withdrawal doesn't affect processing already carried out, and we may not be able to continue providing the Services without certain data.

EU / UK (GDPR): we rely on performance of a contract (delivering the course you paid for), consent (marketing, testimonials), legitimate interests (improving our Services, preventing fraud, recording sessions so learners can review them) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. How we share your personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below.

5.1 Service providers (Data Processors)

We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. - payment processing.
  • Microsoft Teams/Zoom/or equivalent - hosting live sessions.
  • Vimeo/Gumlet - hosting course videos and recordings.
  • Lovable.dev - learning platform hosting.
  • Vercel - public website hosting
  • Microsoft Office 365/Gmail/or equivalent - emails and newsletter.

5.2 Other learners

Some information is visible to other members of your cohort: your name and anything you share in live sessions, session recordings (shared only with cohort members), your leaderboard display name and score, and your phone number and profile inside the WhatsApp community. Please think about this before sharing sensitive information in group settings.

5.3 WhatsApp

The cohort community runs on WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to your use of it. Joining the group is optional.

5.4 Your employer

For team trainings paid for by your employer, we may share attendance, progress and completion information with your employer.

5.5 Legal reasons and business transfers

We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights, users or the public. If Approachable or BIGINT Solutions is merged, acquired or sells its assets, your data may be transferred to the new owner under this Policy.

6. Third-party tools used in the course

The curriculum involves tools such as Claude (Anthropic), Claude Cowork, Lovable and n8n. You use these tools with your own accounts, and their providers' privacy policies apply. We don't control how they handle data. Please don't enter confidential company information or other people's personal data into any AI tool unless you're authorised to do so.

7. International data transfers

We're based in India and many of our service providers store data in India, the United States or elsewhere. When your data is transferred outside your country, we take reasonable steps to make sure it's protected, including using providers with appropriate safeguards and, where required for EU/UK users, Standard Contractual Clauses. We'll comply with any restrictions on transfers notified by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.

8. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies needed for it to work (for example, keeping you logged in to the learning platform). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work properly.

9. How long we keep your data

  • Account, registration and course data: for as long as you're an active learner, you can rejoin and access your history, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
  • Payment and invoice records: up to 8 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting laws.
  • Session recordings: up to 3 months after your cohort ends, then deleted or anonymised, unless we state a different period for your cohort.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Testimonials: until you ask us to remove them.

After these periods, we delete or anonymise your personal data, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or update it.
  • Erase your personal data when it's no longer needed or you withdraw consent (subject to legal retention requirements, such as payment records).
  • Withdraw consent at any time, including for marketing and testimonials.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (India).
  • Grievance redressal: raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

EU/UK users also have the right to data portability, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to their local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email ranbeer@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. We'll respond within 30 days or any shorter period required by law.

To stop marketing emails, click "unsubscribe" in any email. To leave the WhatsApp community, just exit the group.

11. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, PCI-DSS compliant payment processing through Razorpay, access controls that limit data to people who need it, and reputable hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information. If a personal data breach affects you, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

12. Children

Our Services are meant for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to register or pay. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Links to other websites

Our website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, GitHub, our sister companies and tools used in the course. We're not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll notify you by email or on the website.
